St. Luke's Day

Don't miss the celebration of St. Luke's Sunday on October 12. This is one of the most anticipated and beloved celebrations of the church year in our Parish. The cebration of the Eucharist concludes with prayers, laying on of hands and the anointing of oil for Healing.
Amy Levy, the cantor from the Reform Congregation Keneseth Israel will assist Jonathan with the music. Jonathan Bowen, our organist and choir master is also the organist at this synagogue in Elkins Park.
We will also learn a bit more about our parish's support of the Millennium Development Goals. This year we will contribute .7% of our operating budget to buy malaria nets, needed to save millions of children and adults in Africa. One net costs about $12. The loose offering will also be donated to the cause.
